Homemade Valentines

Estimated time to make this valentine:
1/2 - 1 hour

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Materials:
-boxes of the "Necco" wafer valentine candy hearts

-photos or color copies of the person sending the valentine

-glue

-scissors

-red crayon or marker

Instructions:
Pour the candy out of the box into a small dish.

Measure the photo to fit into the cellophane candy box window.

Cut out photo, apply glue to edges of the front side, slide the photo into the box so that the photo shows through the cellophane window.

Allow the glue to dry, write a message on the back of the box, then pour the candy back into the box and shut.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
You don't have to put the candy back in - add some other small gift!
