3 Star Idea Rating

Estimated time to make this valentine:
Two hours.

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Materials:
oak tag/poster board
exacto knife
ruler
contact paper
stickers/markers/glitter pen/pen

Instructions:
This is a family project and everyone needs to participate by designing the phrases and words to be used on the cards. Since you are making a deck, the cards need to have a universal design. Check out patterns and images on contact paper. Contact paper is perfect as it has a strong adhesive that will make the cards last.

1. Adhere contact paper to the oak tag or poster board.
2. Determine the size of your cards (any size is fine) and cut the oak tag or poster board to this size.
3. Add little stickers and create designs with a glitter pen to make them extra special.
4. As a group, create sayings that reflect the love your family has for each other. (Note: these are daily inspiration cards that can be used over and over with messages like, ?we are family,? ?I am loved,? ?Today is a beautiful day,? ?be your best,? ?group hug,? etc.)

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Store these very special cards in your love box! Create a daily ritual for your family by picking a card every day!
