Homemade Valentines

Estimated time to make this valentine:
One hour

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School

Materials:
shoe box
markers/crayons/stickers/paper
scissors/exacto knife
3 rubber bands
2 pink school erasers

Instructions:
1. Decorate shoe box as elaborately as you wish.
2. Cut a hole in the center of the lid and then place lid back onto the box.
3. Stretch three rubber bands around the box lengthwise and line up rubber bands to be in the center of the hole.
4. Take the 2 erasers and lift up the rubber bands on each side of hole for bands to create suspension and tension.
5. Adjust the rubber bands to tune your lyre and play!
