Materials:
quality paper, card stock or oak tag
stickers
pre-cut stamps
ink pad
tempera paints
paint dish
sponge/potato
exacto knife
glitter pen
ribbon

Instructions:
For younger children:

1. Determine the dimensions of your special note card stationery (note: either purchase pre-cut paper or cut paper for your child).
2. Use little stickers and pre-cut stamps and ink and create a design onto the stationery.

For older children:

1. Determine the dimensions of your special note card stationery.
2. Create your own sponge and/or potato stamps by cutting the sponges and/or potatoes into heart shapes. To create a sponge stamp, draw a heart onto the sponge and cut with scissors. To create a potato stamp, cut the potato in half and etch a heart shape into the potato flesh with a knife; then, in relief style, cut the flesh around the heart shape so that the heart shape sticks out of the potato.
3. Dip the stamp into tempera paint and stamp your design onto the stationery.
4. Create designs or write Valentine? Day-inspired quotes with glitter pens.
5. Allow paint to dry on each sheet.
6. Wrap paper with a ribbon.
