Easy Drums and Drumsticks

Description of technique:
Two steps to easy drums!

1) Get a cookie tin and tightly pull cellophane wrap around the top until taut.
2) Secure with a rubber band.

Drumsticks:

Drumsticks can have a variety of different sounds depending on the materials you use.

1) Roll modeling clay into a ball.
2) Insert the clay on to the top of a chopstick, dowel, wooden skewer, stick, etc.

For other variations: stick a cork on the end of a stick or wrap felt around the top of your stick. You can use wooden beads glued onto a dowel as well. Play gently.

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool on up.
