Description of technique:
To make your maracas:

1) Take two yogurt containers and fill one with a small amount of one of the following: Rice, salt, sea salt, sand, sugar, dried beans, and small pebbles (or experiment with your own selections).

2) Glue the containers together or use masking tape to connect them.

3) Decorate and play!

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool on up.

Other suggestions or comments:
For variety, experiment with pie tins, plastic cups, and soda bottles. Also try your own mixtures of fillings!
