Description of technique:
Expose your child to a variety of different music. Play a wide variety of music from lullabies to bluegrass. If you are not familiar with a certain type of music such as classical, learn together. ItĘs never too late to start. For example, if you want to teach your child about classical music you might consider listening to The Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky, Peter and the Wolf by Prokofiev, The Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saens, or HaydenĘs Surprise Symphony. You can listen together and broaden both of your musical horizons. Think of it like learning a foreign language. What you become familiar with no longer seems foreign as you become accustomed to the sound.
