Description of stocking-stuffer idea:
Get magnetic printer paper and type and print out words and punctuation that interest your child. Examples: band names, Japanimation characters, favorite book characters, snow boarding vocabuary, your pet name, movie themes, monster themes, holiday words, etc. Cut out and place in tin. Altoid tins work, and you can buy tins at the container store for about a dollar.

Other comments or suggestions:
Let your child place them on the fridge (older) or a cookie sheet (younger). Encourage them to play with them when when you are talking to them in the kitchen, or even write messages to them back and forth. If your child uses a metal lunch box, leave messages to them in their lunch!
