Butter & Nuts Cookies (with a Kiss)

Estimated time:
1 hour to an hour and a half, includes chilling time. Ten to 12 minutes to bake.

Number of servings:
30 cookies

Ingredients: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 baking soda
pinch of salt
1/2 to 2/3 cup of ground walnuts
30 chocolate kisses

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream the butter and sugar
Add egg, vanilla, almond extract. Mix well.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt. Mix into batter.
Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes or more.
Form dough into balls (1 teaspoon of dough).
Roll balls in nuts to coat.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until slightly soft. Take cookies out of oven. Put thumb print in each cookie.
Place chocolate kiss on each cookie immediately. Let sit on cookie sheet for five minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet to cool completely.
