Description of technique for limiting kids' TV-time:
My children are allowed to watch one half hour of TV each day during the school year. In the summer I let them watch a half hour in the morning and another half hour in the afternoon. They don't complain about this rule because it's always been this way, so it's better to start young when limiting TV.

Appropriate age group(s):
All age groups

Other suggestions or comments:
If TV is not an option, the kids WILL find something else to do. My children read a lot, play games together, and spend plenty of time playing outside.
