Description of technique for limiting kids' TV-time:
We start the day by giving each child 6 "tickets" to be exchanged for the privilege of either 30 minutes of TV or 15 minutes of video games per card. If they want to watch a movie, they have to turn in 4 cards. It seems to be working - they choose what they REALLY want to watch or do then. My kids are boys ages 8 & 10.
