Description of technique for limiting kids' TV-time:
Make a collage out of pictures from old magazines. I remember doing this with my nieces and nephews and now I'm doing it with my own kids. All you need are some old magazines, scissors, a glue stick, construction paper and your imagination. We have a blast looking for pictures of our favorite things in magazines, piecing together the words of our favorite sayings or expressions and then building a self-portrait of who we are at that moment in time. Adding favorite photos is a great addition too. I use to make these all the time for my sister who was away in college. She loved them and created her own collage all over her dorm room wall.

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and up

Other suggestions or comments:
This is also a great project for this New Year's Eve and the Celebration of the Millennium.
