Description of technique for limiting kids' TV-time:
If you're trying to wean young children off of TV, this activity can be a great incentive. Tell your child that if you turn off the TV that you'll let them be the TV. Make a TV screen out of a large cardboard box, cut out the screen for their head and add some antenna on top for effect. (Teach them about TV before cable!) Encourage them to produce their sitcoms and news broadcasts about the family and daily events.

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and young kids

Other suggestions or comments:
You may want to set up the video camera for this production, you never know what you'll hear on tonight's news!
