Description of technique for limiting kids' TV-time:
Whenever my 4 year old wants to watch tv at a conflicting time, such as before dinner or bathtime, or an outing, I'll make sure he turns it off when the timer beeps. He even asks for it! The timer gets to be the bad guy, not me :-)

Appropriate age group(s):
3 and up

Other suggestions or comments:
I'll estimate the time it takes until I need him to turn it off. It usually works out pretty well.
