4 Star Suggestion Rating

Briefly describe this fundraising event:
A fast, easy, and profitable way to spoof "beauty" contests; requires NO lines memorized, NO expensive sets or costumes, and ONLY ONE quick rehearsal for timing. Located on-line at iwantfundraising.com

Organizing the event:
Easy, as the pageant is laid out as an event contained in a box, with publicity help, flyers, volunteer info, even form letters to solicit donations and sponsorship.(Written by member of Women in Film, and Nat'l League of Pen Women)

Capital possibilities:
Small groups of 30 (i.e., youth groups and small arts councils) are finding an average return of $1200.00 EXCLUDING profit made on side items like refreshments, bake sales, food, auctions, or raffles.

Degree of difficulty:
Not difficult at all. The kit comes in a folder detailing everything, plus a CD with music made just for the pageant.
It's particlarly cool with parents as the volunteers with children helping create the character by their dress, etc. It's meant, and IS, a family affair and fun.

Other suggestions or comments:
It is suggested that you combine your "show/pageant" with one or more money-making ventures at the same time - food sales, auction, day at the fair, raffle, you name it. It's family rated, church approved, and can use guys, girls, seniors, even physically challanged as contestants. (Sample of the script is on the web site for you to read.)
