Briefly describe this fundraising event:
Sell personalized products such as t-shirts, mugs, back packs, mouse pads and more!
Organizing the event:
We all have more artwork from our children than we know what to do with. So why not make some money for your school and boost your child's esteem at the same time. Here's what you need to do:1. Decide what product you'd like to sell, for this example we'll use T-shirts. When buying shirts or any product in bulk look for bargains at local discount stores (tell them it's for a school fund raiser for that extra 10 to 20 percent off) and/or ask your school for their supplier contacts. 2. Take the orders. It's helpful if you have a sample t-shirt printed or can provide a picture of the final product. Kids can solicite all family members, neighbors and their co-workers. 3. Gather up student artwork and get the shirts printed. You can do this by going down to your local print shop or through an established fund-raising organization. You can also usually include sayings or slogans such as "I love Grandma" or "Class of 2000." 4. Distribute finished product and collect the money. 5. Celebrate your success!
Capital possibilities:
Up to 100% profit! When determining which type of product to sell i.e. t-shirt, lunch box etc. you'll want to be able to double your initial cost. For example, if the tee shirts cost $7.00, you'll want to be able to sell them for at least $14.00.
Degree of difficulty:
Easy to organize and it makes a good profit. Bonus: Kids feel great when they show off their artwork.
Other suggestions or comments:
