4 Star Suggestion Rating

Briefly describe this fundraising event:
I am going to just copy this off my 10 pound sack of pancake mix, OK? (blush):

"Raise Funds for your Organization. Host a Krusteaz Pancake Breakfast. Here's how to Participate:

Organizing the event:
1. Purchase Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix. Each 10 lb. bag serves about 80 people (3 pancakes per serving).

2. Following your breakfast event, complete the form below, and send it along with your sales receipt, and the UPC code cut out of each bag of pancake mix used.

3. Continental Mills, Inc., will reimburse your organization 50% of the purchase price of Krusteaz Pancake Mix--up to $100.00.
(Any sales tax must be paid by the organization)."

Capital possibilities:
ahhh! now that depends how many people you serve...which also hinges on how many willing Pancake Chefs you have...and whether or not you have to pay a fee for use of your hall/cooking facility.

Degree of difficulty:
Of course, there's also eggs to scramble, coffee to brew and serve, and sausage or bacon to cook, servers, clean-up crew.

Other suggestions or comments:
You need a facility that your local Health Department will find amenable...and likely at least some (if not all) of your crew will need Food Handlers Permits. However, you will find that permit applicable to allll kinds of events in the overall fun, fun Fun of Fundraising ;-)

As it happens, breakfast is one of the easiest and cheapest meals to prepare and serve to large group. It helps to have some people on hand who have Been There, Done That and can help organize your crew, because: organizations that do such Breakfasts have it allll worked out to a science, right down to shopping lists, and a Timeline for when When to start doing each task. Our church has a men's organization that makes enough to sponsor several college scholarships annually. They serve breakfast on the first Sunday of the month (taking summer off). Dads can be really amazing people...and I Totally Love It when they wear the apron, cook breakfast and serve tea. ;-)
