Book Sale in Schools by Scholastic Book Fairs. Part of profits go to the school.
Organizing the event:
Chairperson from school works with Scholastic Book Fairs. It is best to utilize parent volunteers to help with this fundraiser. Help is needed in setting up, running the fair and taking down. Scholastic delivers and picks up the merchandise.
Capital possibilities:
Cash profits or book profits. Unbelievable possibilities in raising funds. The success depends largely depends on the quality of merchandising the book fair (making set up look inviting)
Degree of difficulty:
Not difficult. Scholastic Book fairs has excellent resources to help. They even conduct fun workshops that help you with running a book fair.
Other suggestions or comments:
Scholastic Book Fair fundraisers not only contribute profits to the schools, but unlike most fundraisers, they put books into the hands of children, thereby contributing to the literacy of our children.
