Buy a View Master for each child and a viewing package to go with it. You can add onto it with each trip. They now have them in 3-D. Keeps kids entertained for 30-60 minutes.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
My son, who is 1 1/2 years old, loved it but can't really put the pictures in and out by himself. My daughter, who is 4, can use it all by herself and especially likes any of the Disney themes.
