Describe this trip activity or tip:
First you say "I'm going on a trip and I'm going to take..." I'm going to say an apple, then the next person says what they want to bring, but what they bring has to relate to the object you're bringing, like fruit in this example. You tell them if they can or can't go on this trip based on what their answer was. Then it's the next person's turn to try to go on this trip. They get as many tries as they need. Different related topics you could use are foods, colors, animals, or for older kids; objects that start with the first letter of their names, birthdays, but don't tell them what your topic is. Let them try to figure it out on their own.
Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Decide what topic you want to use depending on the child's level (like younger kids, easy topics and older kids, unusual topics). If your child is just too good at this game, give them a really hard topic to try to guess and they'll be busy the whole trip trying to figure it out.
