Describe this trip activity or tip:
Don't forget the extra batteries for those Discman/Walkmans, toys, baby monitors, and other important devices like flashlights, radios, or walkie talkies.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
I have found that it is a good idea to check the batteries currently in the devices. Some of them may need to be replaced already or may be leaking battery acid. I also pack the extra batteries in a plastic zip-lock bag marked "new" and take along another zip-lock bag marked "old" to hold the bad batteries. There's nothing more frustrating than to try and figure out which ones are good and which ones are bad. Please recycle the batteries when they are bad.
