For which mode(s) of transportation is this tip or activity appropriate? Traveling by car (or bus) Traveling by plane Traveling by train Traveling by boat
Describe this trip activity or tip:
Someone starts the game by saying, "My father owns a grocery store and in it he has something that begins with an A (or any other letter)." The others have to guess. The person who guesses correctly comes up with the next clue. If your children are younger and don't know their letters very well, you can start the game by saying, "My father owns a grocery store and in it he has something that is red." Sometimes hints are needed if the kids are really stumped.
Other comments or suggestions to consider:
My parents used this game on car trips when we were younger, and now I use it with my two (ages 5 and 3). My kids love it when they guess correctly and then it's THEIR turn to come up with the next clue. It keeps them amused for quite some time, and they can come up with some VERY creative things!
