Describe this trip activity or tip:
We began giving our children $1.00 per hour when we were traveling. This began from the moment they had to get up at 4:00am to board a plane, until we arrived in our hotel room. Then when we arrived at our destination, they bought all of their souveniers with the money they earned. We found that we not only saved money on souveniers, we had very well behaved kids and all trips since then have been very enjoyable. They take the responsibility of their own entertainment and behavior because they want to earn the spending money.
