Traveling by train
Traveling by boat

Describe this trip activity or tip:
Please don't expect your children to stay in their seats for the entire train ride. The good thing about trains is that they have much greater leg room than airplanes do. Schedule regular breaks from sitting by getting up and walking from car to car, going to the bathroom, or visiting the snack bar. Ask if the train will allow visits with he conductor or if they have any other special activities for children. Have fun making up your own leg-stretching exercises while sitting.
