For which mode(s) of transportation is this tip or activity appropriate? Traveling by plane
Describe this trip activity or tip:
Although airlines think they are doing you a favor by allowing people with small children to board early, don't do it. You don't want to have to strap your kids into their plane seat any longer than is absolutely necessary. And don't make your kids sit quietly while waiting for the plane to board. Although you don't want them running around the terminal like wild animals, let them walk around. Take them to the window to see the airplanes take off and land. Burn off as much energy as you can before they have to sit.
Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Also, make sure they use the bathroom before getting on the plane. When the "Fasten your Seat Belt" sign is on, they won't be allowed up, even if it's to go to the bathroom.
