Describe this trip activity or tip:
The "License Plate" game is a one of the all-time favorite car games. You can play it a variety of ways depending on the skill level of your child. You can play it alphabetically starting with the letter "A" and look for a license plate that starts with the letter "A" such as Arizona or Alabama then look for "B" etc. But that can take quite a while and it may be a bit discouraging for kids. Another way to do it is to write down the letters of the alphabet vertically on a piece of paper. Then write down one license plate state for each letter of alphabet. The first one to complete the list (or get the most states) wins.
Another variation for younger children is to count or identify numbers or letters from license plates. For example, "who can find the number 1" or "who can find the letter "A" etc.
