Describe this trip activity or tip:
The "I Spy" game is one of our favorite games to play, especially driving in the car. It doesn't require any special props and it doesn't leave any mess. All you have to do is take turns "spying" objects that are different colors. For example, "I spy something blue" the answer is "the sky" etc. Depending on the age and abilities of your child, you can vary the game by spying different shapes or by spelling different objects.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
There are also an entire series of "I Spy" books available in any bookstore that your child could enjoy by themselves during a long car ride.
