My younger kids love to listen to musical story cds on their trips. They are more like theaters to listen to with lots of music, sound effects and different voices. One of my youngest (4) favorites is EarTwiggle's Adventures. You can buy it from Amazon or from their website www.eartwiggles.com

I always bring some crayons, coloring and activity papers with us.
