Age group(s) for this celebration activity:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Description of this celebration activity:
First you find some kind of yarn or string. Then you tape one end of the string to the floor or tile. You then wind the yarn wherever you can, the object is to make finding the treasure/gift hard, or easy in the case of little kids. After you finish winding the string around chairs, TVs, beds, bookshelves, etc., you place the gift at the other end. You then repeat this for the other children. To get the gift, you simply give each child the end of one string and they have to follow it to get their gift! It's a lot of fun!

Setting up and preparing for this celebration activity:
Buy string, and small gifts or fortunes.

Other suggestions or comments:
Tie a fortune around the gift. What also helps is using different color string for each person, it makes it easier for the kids and makes the room more colorful. You might set the room with the game off limits to people until you do it.
