High School & Beyond
Description of this celebration activity:
For an educational game, make a list of questions to ask the kids about this last 100 years. You could include the most inspiring person, the best actor, the most important invention, etc., and get a fun discussion going on each topic. People Magazine usually has a poll in December. For the older kids, you could divide into two teams, guys against the girls. Whichever team blurts out the right answer compared with the People's poll gets a point and see which teams makes the most points.
Setting up and preparing for this celebration activity:
Make up your own poll or find a poll in a magazine to get ideas.
Other suggestions or comments:
This is not my idea, but I think it's a good one.
Buy a tree to plant with your kids during the day on January 1st. It will grow with your children and always be remembered.
