Appropriate age group(s):
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time to make this gift:
45 minutes, split.

Materials:
fimo clay or similar
paint
ornament hanger
or magnet

Instructions:
Twist off a piece of clay and shape into a small sized frame shape - just the front. We made circles, whales, trees, hearts... basically a shape with a hole in the center for gluing a picture. Bake according to directions. When cool, paint. Get creative with this and you can have some real masterpieces. Each child made three frames - one for each grandma. When the paint dries, glue the photo right side facing front to the back of the frame. Affix a magnet toward the top of the frame.
If wanting to make an ornament, allow a hole for hanging a ribbon from the top, or stick a hanger into the top of the unbaked frame.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
This is a split time project for obvious reasons.
