3 Star Gift Idea Rating

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time to make this gift:
variable, as is cost

Materials:
Jars, obviously. Or, use Ziploc bags and slip them into a decorated paper bag; even basic lunchbags can be decorated. The other materials depend upon the recipe used.

Instructions:
Surf the Internet for "recipes in a jar", "gifts in a jar". You'll be amazed at the possibilities; beverage and soup mixes, cookies, bath salts.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Think of the lifestyle of the person destined to receive the gift. A person on a diet might like the Bean Soup or bath salts, rather than Death by Chocolate. List the recipe so others can use the idea later AND so that people with allergies know what they are getting!
