Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger

Estimated time to make this gift:
10 Minutes

Materials:
Foam craft sheets, hole punch, ribbon, paint pen that will show up on the color foam you pick, scissors, pen/pencil

Instructions:
Trace your child's hand on the foam & cut out. Use hole punch to punch hole in one of the fingers, or in the heel of the hand, your choice depending on which way you want it to hang.
String ribbon thru the hole, long enough to tie in a loop about 6 inches should be good. Use paint pen to write your child's name, age, the date including year on the front or back.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
This is a really good gift for grandparents. They can be mailed for those grandparents who live far from their grandchildren. It also is neat years later to see how much your child has grown.
