4 Star Gift Idea Rating

Appropriate age group(s):
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond

Estimated time to make this gift:
30 min. or less

Materials:
Semi sweet chocolate chips
Plastic or metal spoon(s)
Plastic wrap
Marshmallows (optional)

Instructions:
Melt chocolate in microwave or on stove. Let cool slightly if using plastic spoons. Dip spoon into chocolate (waiting after each dip for a few minutes so chocolate hardens slightly) until it is very thickly covered. After the last dip, place marshmallows onto the chocolate. (You can also use white chocolate to make a design or peanutbutter chips. You would have to melt them, too.)

Attach a piece of paper saying to put spoon into hot milk or water and stir until chocolate is melted.

Makes one cup! VERY good for gift baskets, especially in snowy cold places like Colorado. Great for teens, kids, and adults of all ages. Also flavors coffee!

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
If you have younger children who want to help (almost always want to with chocolate), make sure they are doing the easer jobs! Like wrapping and placing marshmallows.
