4 Star Idea Rating

Age group(s) for this birthday party activity:
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Cost of birthday party activity:
Minimal cost - use what you have mostly. Need film in the camera.

Birthday party planning information:
Collect 2 complete (but similar) outfits from an adult - we used the following items: mens suit, tie (already tied - ready to slip over the head), shoes, hat, and a small suitcase or some sort of shopping bag to put it in. Split the party goers into 2 teams. Line the kids up at 1 end of a room. Have the first person on each team carry their suitcase (full of the outfit) to the other end of the room. At the other end of the room, put on the outfit. The 2 kids then must stand together to have their picture taken (this makes sure neither team gets too far ahead, too). Then each kid must take the outfit off, put it in the suitcase, and take the suitcase back to the other side of the room and hand it to the next child in line, who repeats this whole process.

Other suggestions or comments:
This event worked well with very young elementary aged kids.

It can be loud and VERY silly!

One of the most fun parts is that it lasted. Each child received a copy of their "dress up" picture with their party thank you notes.
