Age group(s) for this birthday party activity:
Elementary School

Cost of birthday party activity:
0-$50.00 depending on what you have and how much you make yourself. I made everything myself and borrowed a pony for the rides.

Birthday party planning information:
Make them all a scarf from any type material you want, you can also make their goodie bags out of cowboy material and use rope for the tie string. Have face painting, and cowboy games. Rope a cow (wooden cow), pony rides, cowboy shuffle race (race around a bale of hay with oversized cowboy boots on).

Other suggestions or comments:
We also had a barbecue, with cowboy supper (hamburgers, potatoes and carrots wrapped in foil), a pot of baked beans or chili on a tri-pod over an open fire. Have some adults help with the pony rides.
