Call around for best deal. Almost all pottery places have birthday packages now. Tell attendees they can spend xx amount on their choice of ceramic item(s) to paint. If you call ahead, the pottery shop will pull the items they have in your price range and have them on the "birthday table" for selection by guests.

Birthday party planning information:
This is great fun. Send invitation with a paint brush attached! We went for pizza first then to the pottery place. I gave out treat bags filled with artistic items: watercolors, paintbrushes, crayons, glue, markers, pad of paper. BIG HIT. Be SURE to call and make reservations.
