Minimal cost but advance planning required.

Birthday party planning information:
In the spring, plant tall, medium, and short sunflowers in a circle about 10 feet in diameter. In the summer, or early fall, host a sunflower party where the guests make sunflower hats out of paper plates and streamers.
Play games in the sunflower garden on a blanket.

Other suggestions or comments:
Make a sunflower cake. Frost a 9" round cake with frosting, top with unwrapped kisses. Surround with Twinkies.
