You buy at least 2-3 different flavors of ice cream (ex: vanilla, chocolate, mint, cherry, strawberry, etc.). Also, different toppings (ex: chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, carmel). Also, sprinkles, chocolate chips, cherries, nuts, etc.

Other suggestions or comments:
You have all the "party guests" make their own ice cream sundaes any way they want it. Children especially love it because they feel very special and "grown-up" making their own dessert! This is a lot of fun!
