Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School

Estimated time to make this decoration:
1 - 2 hours

Materials:
3 pieces of white construction paper
other colors of construction paper
tape
plastic bag
glue*
magnets*

* If you plan to put this on a refrigerator, use liquid glue and magnets that you can cut up. Use tape if you don't want to put this on a refrigerator.

Instructions:
1. Tape all three pieces of white construction paper together. Then cut a snowman out of the paper.

2. Put snowman aside and make 25 accessories with the other construction paper (hat, carrot nose, buttons, etc.)

3. *Cut out pieces of magnets that agree with the accessory (the hat will have a bigger magnet than the buttons). Allow drying time.

4. Hang snowman somewhere in the house where the pieces will not get knocked off. (A door or refrigerator.)

5. Every day, starting Dec. 1 till Dec. 25, add an accessory to your snowman by taping or using the magnets on the back.

6. Store the unused pieces in a plastic bag so they don't get lost.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
You may use any shapes that you want (Christmas Tree or Menoroah instead of a Snowman).

Also, by using magnets, you can reuse this every Christmas.
