Estimated time to make this decoration:
20 minutes
Materials:
Photocopy sheet music from your church hymnal. Use a half sheet of paper for body, and the other half will be wings. You will need styrofoam balls for head, about the size of a quarter. You will need white pipe cleaners for arms and neck. Cut small card board about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide for a song book. And some small silk roses. Package of hair (the type that comes in curls) and ribbon. Optional: gold paint.
Instructions:
Fold your sheet music (l/2 sheet) in the shape of a cone. Take a pipe clear, cut about 1 inch long. Insert in styrofoam ball, stick in top of cone, and glue underneath the cone to hold the head in place. Fold the other half of your sheet of music like you would pleat a fan. Spread out holding in the center. This is your wings, glue on the back of your cone. Add pipe cleaner arms just over the wings, fold like arm and bring them up in front, this will hold your song book later. Add hair on her head with a touch of hot glue. Put a bow, made out of ribbon at her neck. Make another bow with streamers, let hang down the front of her dress. Add a small silk rose in the center of the bows. Take your song book, fold in half, and glue each side to the hands, glue on inside of book. Position your book so it looks as if your angel is singing. I usually paint my books gold, and also paint the edge of her dress gold, and the tips of her wings. These little angles are as cute as they can be.
