Estimated time to make this decoration:
variable

Materials:
Central to this are 'name cards' sold in gift shops; Christian book stores are one source but there may be others.

OR...if one knows the origins of a name, print your own cards on index cards!! And if you don't know the origins of the name, just print it in bold italics, and then list that person's many adorable qualities.

A small decorative basket OR
make your own, origami style
(it is a little like folding a paper hat or cup). OR use two layers of fabric, bonded together and folded similarly. OR recycled gift wrap paper. You can even weave ribbons into berry/cherry tomato baskets.

A ribbon or cord can be attached to hang this on the wall.

Instructions:
I am sorry I got carried away and put all that up topside, but what you use might just depend on how "crafty" you feel, and what you have around the house to work with! I just wanted to mention it because another post reminded me of it. Someone we love gave my family a little fabric basket with all 4 of our names in it (the commercially printed kind) but the variations on this are probably endless.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
It makes a good family gift. But it is even further adaptable to groups, especially the listing of good qualities. Youth leaders can list names of members of a group, and ask kids to list the good things about each person on the list, and then print all the positive remarks on individual cards and give them to each child wrapped in tissue.

That last part is an idea swiped from a schoolteacher who wrote to Dear Abbey a year or so ago.
