Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School
Middle School

Estimated time to make this decoration:
2 minutes

Materials:
Rolls of Metalic Ribbon
Christmas Tree

Instructions:
Unroll the ribbon off the tube. Stand back about 2 feet from the Christmas Tree. Throw the ribbon. If you don't like the way it looks or where it landed, take it off the tree, and throw again.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
You can't imagine how beautiful and shiny your tree will look if you throw the ribbons. My family started this tradition several years ago when our worn-out artificial tree was looking terribly ragged. I just tossed a leftover ribbon from the year before out of frustration. My daughter thought it would be fun, too, so she threw on another one.

Now after all the other decorations have been added we all throw ribbons. Even my friends ask if they can throw ribbons on the tree.
