Estimated time to make this decoration:
30 MINUTES/1 HOUR TO DRY

Materials:
1 PLASTIC LID, ANY SIZE/COLOR
1 PACKAGE M&M PLAIN CANDY
PEN, ANY COLOR
CLEAR GLUE
HOLE PUNCHER
RIBBON, ANY COLOR

Instructions:
1. PUNCH HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE LID
2. DRAW A TRIANGLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LID MAKING SURE THAT ONE POINT IS ON TOP.
3. AT THE BOTTOM DRAW A SQUARE MAKING SURE IT IS IN THE CENTER.
3. TAKE THE BROWN M&M'S AND GLUE IN THE SQUARE - THIS WILL BE YOUR TREE TRUNK.
4. STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TRIANGLE, FILL IN ONE ROW OF GREEN M&M'S, THEN ALTERNATE WITH RED & GREEN M&M'S, ANOTHER ROW OF ALL GREEN, ETC. UNTIL THE "TREE" IS COMPLETELY FILLED.
5. PLACE A SINGLE YELLOW M&M ON THE TOP FOR THE STAR.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
SMALL LIDS FROM 1 LB. BUTTER BOWLS WORK BEST. IF YOU USE LARGER LIDS, MAKE SURE YOU CENTER THE "TREE".
