Materials:
Cinnamon, applesauce, cookie cutters, ribbon, fabric tube/puff paint (optional).

Some recipes also use white glue.

Instructions:
The resulting ornaments look and smell like spicy little brown cookies to hang on your tree. I've seen multiple versions of this recipe over the past ten years, so surf if you care to. Maybe some folks will tell us which recipe, in their opinion, works best.

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
I think some people "freshen" their ornaments with a bit of spicy essential oil after years of use.

Remember that cinnamon can "cloud" when shaken or stirred, especially in large quantities, so adults should mix, letting kids help in other areas. Don't let anyone rub their eyes while working with the dough!
