4 Star Idea Rating

Appropriate age group(s):
Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Estimated time to make this decoration:
1/2 an hour or longer

Materials:
green and red construction paper
glue (Elmer's white glue, glue stick, or Elmer's gel glue)
scissors
pencil, marker, or crayon
red ribbon
sequins, gems, any other decoration you want

Instructions:
Trace your child's hands (right and left) on the green construction paper 4 times (a total of 8 hands) . Then carefully cut out the hands, your kids can help too. Then glue the hands together in a ring. After the glue is dry, you can decorate the wreath with whatever you want (put on a bow, sequins, or make holly berries with the red construction paper).

Other comments or suggestions to consider:
If you have trouble getting the hands into a ring, you can get a paper plate and cut out the middle, then glue the hands to the ring formed by the paper plate.
