Preschool and Younger
Elementary School

Instructions for using this strategy:
This program can be done through your child's school and is sometimes done through your local public library. Your child's teacher/librarian sets a goal of how many books should be read in a month.

When they meet their goal, they receive a coupon for a free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut. I have personally seen children who struggled with reading who loved this program and met their goal every month.

What is the benefit to the child with reading problems?
I have personally seen children who struggled with reading who loved this program and met their goal every month. By the end of the school year, these children were actually wanting to choose their own books. They were also trying much harder to read on their own.
