Pumpkin-Pecan Biscuits

Ingredients: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
4 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1/2 each of ground cinnamon and nutmeg
1/2 cup butter or margerine cut into pieces
1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted.
2/3 cup canned solid-pack or cooked fresh pumpkin
1/3 cup half-and-half

Directions:
1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles small peas. Stir in pecans.
3. In a glass cup or bowl, combine pumpkin and half-and-half. Stir into flour mixture. Dough should be stiff.
4. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead several times (If dough is too wet add more flour). Pat or roll out gently to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out with a 2" cookie/biscuit cutter.
5. place biscuits on a slightly greased cookie sheet about 1 inch apart.
6. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Other suggestions and comments:
Serve warm with butter and apple butter. These bisquits are the perfect Autumn-Harvest treat!
