Other suggestions and comments:
This is a very colorful salad, with interesting flavor and texture!

You can substitute green leafy lettuce for the spinach, if you prefer.

I tasted this salad at a potluck picnic, and went home to find numerous recipes on the internet, all quite similar, but with differences.

People do seem to luv to tweak the proportions of oil, sugar, and vinegar. It's a matter of finding balance between your taste buds and dietary goals (fats, carbs).
While still in the dressing mix process, it's easy to adjust these things Upward if you begin with the smaller amounts ;-) Mix and taste, mix and taste...

Other possible additions to the salad include: sliced/diced cucumber; sliced/diced onion (little green ones, or red onion); sliced almonds, Toasted.

Almonds are easily 'toasted' in a saucepan, stirring with a light touch.

However you make the salad, it's a lovely contrast to the vast array of mayonnaise-slathered salads. Mayo is great, but a little goes a lonnnnng way!

You can add the poppy seeds to the dressing beforehand, if you like. Some will stick to the sides of the jar...but it seems a lot of 'em sink to the bottom of the salad bowl, too! Somehow, just enough stick to the salad to make it interesting. ;-)
