Appetizers

Estimated time:

Number of servings:
6-8

Ingredients: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
5 c. fresh broccoli florets

1/4 small red onion, diced

1 c. raisins

1 c. sunflower seeds (roasted, salted)

10 pieces bacon, crumbled and drained, or Hormel Real Bacon Bits from the Jar (half a jar, 3/4, or whole thang, as U like ;-)

1-2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (optional)*

-----------------------------

Dressing:

1/2 c. mayonnaise

1/4 c. sour cream

3 Tbsp. sugar

1 Tbsp. vinegar

1/4 tsp. garlic salt or garlic powder

-------------------------------

Directions:
Mix dressing together and chill. Blend with salad ingredients just before serving.

* cheese should definitely be added just before serving time, so it won't get gooey! Sunflower seeds will stay more crisp if they are added last minute, too.

Other suggestions and comments:
Not a low cal salad, by any means, but fairly nutritious, and satisfying. Great pot luck salad!
